4 Places to learn coding for free

Coding has been in the center of many professions for the last ten years and it is likely to evolve into greater things and have its place in the center of our lives. In this day and age, everybody must know a bit of coding and have an idea of how computers work. This information is likely to be taught in kindergarten in 5 years. My acquaintance with coding dates to 2 years, at the start of the pandemic. I have always been enthusiastic about coding but never had the chance to get my hands on it. When we were unfortunately had to stay home I had the perfect chance to start a new learning process. It took me no longer than three months to fall in love with coding. It has been my greatest interest ever since. Now, I am going to give you four platforms that I have used that helped me immensely with on my coding journey.

First is the Coursera, it is the most prestigious platform in this list and the variety of the courses in Coursera is unmatchable. The prestige that I have mentioned in the very beginning is because the fact that these courses are offered by universities rather than individuals. This means that the certificate that you are going to earn is going to be universally acclaimed. Although the education itself is free you must pay a small amount to get the certificate. However, Coursera offers to give the certificate for free for the ones that demonstrate a financial need. You just have to provide them with the information of your intention and the reason of your interest in the course.

Second, freeCodeCamp.org this site allows you to learn a large variety of concepts from online content and they have excellent supplementary or time to time main content on their YouTube channel. This site is probably one of the best places that you can learn coding from. I personally recommend you taking their ‘Pyhton’ courses.

Third, Udemy. This platform as everybody is aware charges you for the education. However you can find courses for free or at very low prices when the discount time comes. I have started my coding journey with t a course that I have taken from this platform and I can say that it is by far the best paid platform on the net that is going to teach you coding. There are many extremely qualified tutors on the site and they are eager to teach you things. I think you are going to love this platform.

Fourth. Now we have an understanding of what coding is and how it works, we have to apply what we have learned to real life examples and we need to practice because even though you follow the lessons carefully and occasionally take notes you have to use the things you learned for them to stay with you permanently. Our site is Codeforces, this site has lots of problems ranked form easy to hard that is going the simulate the coding experience for you. You are normally given a word problem and expected to solve it using solely coding. It is like solving maths but just using code. You cannot imagine how fun it gets when you get familiar to the concept. This site is actually very good for competitive programming where you use code to solve problems in contests in a limited period. This concept is something that I will handle by itself on one of the upcoming posts.

I hope these platforms help you on your coding journey. I wish you the best of luck and want yourself to remind something regularly : When the things seem the hardest it is where the fun awaits you.
